Phototherapy

At the Dermatology Center of Plano, we are fortunate to have "narrowband" ultraviolet B (UVB) phototherapy lights. Ultraviolet light therapy has become the phototherapy treatment of choice for a variety of skin disorders including:

• Psoriasis
• Eczema (including hand and foot eczema)
• Itchy skin
• Vitiligo

Certain other acute and chronic types of rashes can also respond well to phototherapy as well as other skin conditions that are not responsive to topical or systemic medication-or for the patient who cannot take any medications.

Scheduling of phototherapy sessions is made as convenient as possible during weekdays.
