Bryan A. Selkin, M.D.
Dr. Bryan Selkin received his medical degree in 1996 from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York and completed his residency in the Harvard Combined Program. He is board certified in Dermatology. Prior to joining the Dermatology Center of Plano, Dr. Selkin worked at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for several years. His areas of interest include medical dermatology, surgery and non-invasive cosmetic procedures.
Dr. Mandy L. Warthan is a board-certified dermatologist and a fellowship trained dermatopathologist. Dr. Warthan graduated magna cum laude from Southern Methodist University. She received her doctorate in medicine from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where she was chosen as Outstanding Medical Student of the Year in Dermatology. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston. Dr. Warthan completed a year of research with Dr. Clay Cockerell at the UT Southwestern Medical Center in dermatopathology before starting her dermatology residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. After her residency, she completed a fellowship in dermatopathology at UT Southwestern.
She has written many articles and also conducted research about the harmful effects and dangers of ultraviolet light and sun tanning. She has leactured and presented her research at numerous national dermatology meetings. Her research is published in the major medical journals, textbooks, and the NewYork Times.
Dr. Warthan worked in private practice in Greenville, South Carolina, before returning to Texas in the spring of 2008. Dr. Warthan’s interests include general, adolescent, and surgical dermatology including skin cancer excision with flap/graft repair and surgical removal of moles. She is experienced in performing cosmetic procedures including Botox, fillers (like Juvederm and Restylane), laser treatments, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and laser hair removal.
Dr. Warthan volunteers with the Christ Medical Clinic and the Ronald McDonald House. She also enjoys snow-skiing, fly-fishing, duck hunting, exercising and playing with her dog, Bonnie Blu.
Rachel Barrett, Medical Esthetician
Rachel Barrett followed her lifelong love for skincare by becoming a clinical esthetician in 2002 and a medical esthetician in 2004. She has spent the last three years working for a plastic surgeon and was the Lead Medical Esthetician and trainer for Aqua Medical Spa before making the move to Dermatology Center of Plano in March of 2008.
Rachel finished her esthetics training in Arlington and received her medical laser certification from UT Southwestern Medical School’s John Hoopman. She has received advanced training by numerous industry professionals in laser and light treatments, chemical resurfacing, and injectable enhancements. Rachel enjoys staying on the cutting edge of current esthetics and continuously furthers her education in the medical esthetics field.
